Musical based on children’s book series coming to the stage in Aylesbury next year

Dog Man The Musical, based on the book series by Dav Pilkey, is coming to the Waterside Theatre from Friday March 19 to Sunday March 21 2027.

The show, which is coming to the UK following multiple sell-out Off Broadway seasons and US tours, revolves around the adventures of the character Dog Man, a half-man, half-dog hybrid who works as a police officer.

Robert Wilkes will be playing the character of Dog Man, while the cast also includes Vanessa Dumatey as Flippy and Sam Kipling as Petey, with full casting for the show to be confirmed.

Since its release in 2016, the Dog Man book series has had more than 70 million copies printed worldwide, while an animated film based on the books was released last year.

Tickets for Dog Man: The Musical are on sale now from the Waterside Theatre’s website and are available from £28.

There is a performance on Friday 19th at 6pm, three shows on Saturday 20th at 11am, 2.30pm and 6pm, and a third on Sunday 21st at 2.30pm, with the musical running for one hour and 15 minutes.
