Have your say on how former sports and social club site in Stoke Mandeville could be used by the community
Buckinghamshire Council is inviting people to have their say on how a vacant site in Stoke Mandeville could be used by the community.
The site of the former Buckinghamshire County Council Sports and Social Club, located on Lower Road in Stoke Mandeville, has been unoccupied since the club’s closure in 2017.

Buckinghamshire Council’s Cabinet has agreed that parts of the site will be marketed for up to 12 months, giving organisations the opportunity to propose ideas for how the site could be used in the future.
The authority says there is the potential for a local school to expand on to another part of the land, creating further opportunities to support local children and families.
Buckinghamshire Council’s cabinet member for resources Robert Carington said: “This is a really positive opportunity to give part of this site a new lease of life.
“We want to hear from organisations with exciting, sustainable and viable ideas for how the site could be used to meet local needs and make a real difference for residents.
“Alongside this, the potential planned expansion of the local school offers another important opportunity to support children and families.
“Together, these possibilities give us a real chance to make the most of this site for the community and for future generations.”
