All games go ahead in the Aylesbury & District League despite a rainy weekend
Despite seemingly endless rain, every Aylesbury & District Football League game went ahead at the weekend.
There was a major cup upset in the President’s League Cup as holders Stoke Mandeville bowed out on penalties to Division One side AFC Chesham after a 2-2 draw, Chesham keeper Aryan Gaijar the hero with a spot-kick save during the game and then two in the shoot-out. Aiden Rennie put Mandeville ahead before Cam Harvell's worldie from 25 yards. Kobie Ambrose then put Chesham in front as they attempted to hold onto their lead, but Marcus Hussey soon equalised and Chesham rode their luck. Mandeville's missed spot kick adding to that as they won an eventful game 4-3 on penalties.

Six points then separate seven sides. Aylesbury Hornets are third with a 1-0 win over AVTT while Wendover beat Wingrave 4-3, going 2-0 up early on, as Wingrave pulled goals back but couldn't get back level through the game nor after Wendover's Alex James saw red with ten minutes left.
