Aylesbury LEGO shop marks first birthday with competition to win rare StarWars set
An Aylesbury LEGO shop is marking its first birthday by running a competition to win a rare StarWars LEGO set, valued at around £4,000.
Retired Sets opened at Unit 6 on Bessemer Crescent on November 1, 2025, and prides itself on changing its stock every day.
This has led to customers coming from far and wide to enjoy the LEGO stocks on offer, including as far afield as the United States.
Owners Nick Beevis and Neil Campbell explained: “We started out trading at events, with Aylesbury as our base.

“As the business grew, we moved into a bigger warehouse nearby and turned our original unit into a shop.
“We’ve since opened a shop in Glasgow too, but Aylesbury remains our home base.
“We’ve built a brilliant local community around the shop, and visitors have travelled from as far as America to see us.
“There’s always a reason to come back as our stock changes every day.

“People can offer us sets through the selling section of our website and drop them off at the shop, so remarkable retired pieces arrive regularly.
“Some customers pop in almost daily to see what’s new.”
To celebrate the milestone and thank customers for their support, Retired Sets is running a Christmas prize draw, with the prize of the LEGO StarWars Cloud City set.
The set includes an exclusive Boba Fett minifigure, which features detailed printing on its arms and legs.
Nick and Neil said: “Our pre-owned set has been inventory checked and is complete with its minifigures, original box and instructions.
“We’re genuinely quite sad to see it go, but we’re excited that someone will win it!”
Customers receive one entry for every qualifying purchase of £50 or more made at Retired Sets store in Aylesbury up to and including Christmas Eve.
Customers purchasing through Retired Sets store in Glasgow, its website, National Brick Events stalls and Whatnot sales can all enter.
All entries are brought together for a single prize draw, with the winner being announced on December 31, 2026.
Aylesbury appears to be the home of Retired Sets for the foreseeable future with Nick and Neil saying: “We want to keep growing in Aylesbury.
“The shop is getting busier and busier, and we’d eventually love to find bigger premises here.”
