Work on Buckingham active travel scheme continues as Tring Road works conclude
Buckinghamshire Council’s latest roadworks round-up sees the continuation of an active travel scheme in Buckingham, as overnight works on the Tring Road in Aylesbury are scheduled to finish.
As part of the Buckingham Railway Walk active travel scheme, a new toucan crossing is set to be installed on Tingewick Road.
Work on the scheme is expected to continue until February 2027, and as part of the current traffic management two-way lights are in place 24 hours a day on Tingewick Road from Dunstan Street to the industrial park.
As part of the scheme, a lane closure will be in place on the A421, at its junction with Meadway, between 9.30am and 3.30pm through to Friday November 6.

During this period, there will be traffic management on the Meadway junction to enable resurfacing to be carried out in phases.
An overnight closure on the Tring Road is due to conclude in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Tuesday), as part of work on the A41 corridor to the south of the town, part of the development of the new Woodlands roundabout.
Carriageway resurfacing has been taking place on Tring Road, with closure in operation nightly from 8pm to 7am.
Traffic signals have been introduced on the A41 Station Way West and Friarage Road in Aylesbury from today (Monday) through to Saturday November 14, as part of the refurbishment and reinstatement of kerbs.
The council says multi-way lights will be in operation on the road between 7pm and 5.30am from Monday to Saturday.
Other roadworks across Aylesbury Vale this week include footway reconstruction works taking place on side roads off Fowler Road in Aylesbury through to Saturday November 21, with work under a lane closure with traffic lights between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Saturday.
Footway reconstruction works continue this week on Langdon Avenue and Ballard Close in Aylesbury, with a footway closure and diversion in place Monday to Saturday from 7am and 7pm - Buckinghamshire Council says this work is due to continue until December 12.
