Strong games lead to solid results for Aylesbury Hockey Club
Aylesbury Hockey Club's top Mens and Womens teams had great results against some tough opposition on the weekend and both teams came away with points to add to the scoreboard.

The Mens 1s team had a top-of-the-table clash against Windsor 1s and there was nothing in it between these two in-form sides. It was an intense match from start-to-finish with Aylesbury taking the lead by half-time 2-1, but their opposition never gave up and by the end of the match nothing could split these two teams with the result ending in a 3-3 draw. Aylesbury's forward, Will Ebsworth scored all three goals in his third consecutive week of hat-tricks...Ebsworth is on-fire this season and is helping to keep AHC's Mens 1s on top of the table in the first month of the season.
Aylesbury's Mens 3s had a fight on their hands against an up-for-it Oxford 6s and it was neck-and-neck until Oxford broke through 20minutes into the second half...this brought out the extra fire from the Aylesbury men that was needed and Phill Collins and Stephen Best both found the net to snatch the 2-1 win and grab the three points to make it five wins from five matches.
Aylesbury HC's Womens 1s had a home game against Wallingford and sent out a strong squad to give themselves the best chance of securing their first win of the season...and it worked, they took the game to the opposition from the opening whistle and worked hard all game to grab those much-deserved three points with a cracking 2-0 win. The two goals were created by young Isobel Usherwood (her first as a Womens 1s squad member) and Ellie Bleech (in her first season as an Aylesbury duck), both in superb style.
Aylesbury's Mens 2s, Womens 2s and Mens Devs each had a difficult game against strong opposition and they fought hard in each of their games to give themselves the best opportunity for taking away a point or three, but eventually went down in their away matches on the weekend.
This weekend all senior teams, bar, Womens 4s and Mens Devs have the weekend off to rest and recuperate and be ready to get back out there to keep the teamwork going.
