Pigs and pumpkins promise a spooktacular half-term at Buckinghamshire farm

Families picking up their Halloween pumpkins can meet some rather adorable neighbours this half-term, as Kew Little Pigs prepares for a season of spooky fun.

The farm in Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire, will be selling pumpkins and giving visitors the chance to see its miniature pigs, with the attraction decked out for Halloween.

Budding artists can enter a pumpkin-decorating competition, while a Halloween trail promises sweet surprises along the way.

Owner Olivia Mikhail is preparing to welcome families and grown-up Halloween fans, with daytime activities and special adults-only celebrations.

She said: “I’m really looking forward to Halloween and half-term. The farm will be dressed for the occasion, and visitors can see our adorable miniature pigs while choosing their spooky pumpkin.

“We’ve got pumpkin decorating, competitions and a Halloween trail with sweet surprises, so there will be plenty to keep everyone entertained.

“We’re also really excited about our After Dark sessions. We already have people booked in, and we’ll be offering hot food, drinks and a bar throughout our half-term and Halloween celebrations. We can’t wait to welcome everyone.”

Halloween Half Term sessions run from October 24 to 30, offering two hours on the farm, a tour, time in the petting pens and the opportunity to brush and groom the pigs. Pumpkin picking and decorating can be added, with competitions offering the chance to win a pig adoption.

The family Halloween Extravaganza follows on October 31 and November 1, with two-hour sessions at 10am and noon. Alongside the pigs, visitors can enjoy music, a Halloween trail and a free bouncy castle, weather permitting. Tickets cost £30 per adult and £20 per child, with pumpkin activities subject to availability and advance booking advised.

For over-18s, the Halloween Extravaganza After Dark which will feature a fire pit and marshmallow toasting runs from 2pm to 7pm on both dates. Tickets are £30 per person, with activities including Piggy Pet & Play, pumpkin decorating and pumpkin smashing. Guests are encouraged to wear fancy dress.
