Aylesbury drug dealer jailed after police found 48 wraps of cocaine in driver's door pocket of his car

An Aylesbury drug dealer has been jailed for two years after police busted him in Meadowcroft and found 48 wraps of cocaine in the driver's door pocket of his car.

Following a Thames Valley Police Investigation, it was determined that Jobson Laurindo, aged 29, of The Pony Field, Weston Turville was involved in the onward supply of the drugs in Aylesbury.

Laurindo was sentenced to two years in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday 12 October after pleading guilty to:

  • Possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, namely cocaine
  • Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance
  • Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence
  • Remaining in the United Kingdom beyond the permitted time limit

Just after 2.30pm on 4 June this year, police say officers observed Laurindo driving a silver Ford Mondeo in Aylesbury.

The vehicle stopped in Meadowcroft, where Laurindo got out and entered a shop. Officers, who suspected he was involved in the supply of Class A drugs, detained him and carried out searches of both Laurindo and the vehicle.

During the search, officers located 48 individual wraps of cocaine concealed in the driver’s door pocket. A mobile phone was also seized from the vehicle.

Examination of the phone uncovered messages showing Laurindo involved in dealing cocaine on a number of occasions.

Laurindo was arrested the same day and was charged the following day.

The investigation was carried out by officers from the Aylesbury Proactive Team as part of our ongoing work to tackle serious and organised crime and disrupt the supply of illegal drugs in local communities.

Investigating officer PC Burridge, of the Aylesbury Proactive Team, said: “The supply of Class A drugs causes significant harm to our communities and is often linked to wider organised criminality.

“This sentence reflects the seriousness of Laurindo’s offending and demonstrates our commitment to pursuing those involved in the supply of illegal drugs.

“We will continue to target offenders who seek to profit from the exploitation of others and bring them before the courts.”
