Sleeping Beauty, this year’s pantomime at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury has officially launched, with the cast coming together for the first time at Horwood House.

Among the group was Charlotte Kennedy, who has been announced as playing the role of Princess Rose, aka Sleeping Beauty.

Charlotte is a musical theatre actress who has had roles in shows including Les Miserables and My Fair Lady, where she played the character of Eliza Doolittle.

The Sleeping Beauty cast gathered at the country house hotel to mark the start of rehearsals in the build-up to the show, which opens at the theatre on Friday December 4.

"I am excited to be in Aylesbury this Christmas at such a gorgeous theatre and looking forward to playing Princess Rose,” Charlotte said.

Managing director of UK Productions Martin Dodd said: “Charlotte is a real class act, and we are delighted that she will be joining the fabulous company of Sleeping Beauty this Christmas at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

“With a magical story, spectacular sets and an infamous water fight, this pantomime is one you won't want to sleep through!”
