Remembrance Day service to be held in Aylesbury town centre

An official Remembrance Day service is to take place in Aylesbury Market Square, on Sunday, starting at 10.45am. (November 8)

The service has been organised by Buckinghamshire Council alongside other community services and acts of remembrance marking the occasion.

Buckinghamshire Council chairman, Councillor John Chilver, will be hosting the service. Speaking ahead of the event, he said: "It is a privilege to join Buckinghamshire residents in marking Remembrance Sunday. As we observe the two-minute silence, we remember all those, and their families, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country and we honour the dedication of those who continue to serve. Their courage, selflessness and commitment remain an inspiration to us all."

Also attending the service to lay wreaths will be local civic, civil and military dignitaries, as well as many other organisations.
