Aylesbury Vale pub pays tribute after death of its manager while on holiday
An Aylesbury Vale pub has paid tribute to its manager after she died while on holiday over the weekend.
The White Swan pub in Whitchurch remains closed today (Tuesday) after the death of its manager, named locally as 31-year-old Becca Bullock.
Floral tributes have been left outside the pub, while a notice posted on its front door says it is closed ‘due to unforeseen circumstances.’
In a Facebook post the pub wrote: “We are so deeply sorry to say that our beloved Becca passed away over the weekend whilst away on holiday.

“All our thoughts and condolences are with her family at this time.
“Becca was much loved by all of the team at the White Swan and our amazing locals.
“Our priority at this time whilst we try and comprehend this tragedy is Becca’s family and our team.”
When contacted by The Bucks Herald, a spokesperson for the pub added: “Becca was very much loved by us, the team and our regulars.

“Our priority at this time is focusing on the wellbeing of our team and respecting the wishes of Becca’s family.
“We will announce when the pub will be reopening in due course.”
Tributes were posted on the pub’s Facebook page following its announcement of Becca’s death with one commenter writing: “I am absolutely devastated hearing this news today.
“You made us feel so welcome, Such a caring person that will go out her way for others.
“Will miss you saying ‘hi team’ every time we walked in with a massive smile on your face .

“My thoughts go out to all your family and friends at these hard times!”
