Small decrease in new Covid cases announced in Aylesbury Vale today

Public Health England confirmed a further 11 Covid cases in Aylesbury Vale today (June 15).

This is a slight decrease from yesterday's total of 12 new positive tests.

No deaths linked to the virus were revealed by the government, yesterday one of three deaths confirmed nationally was recorded in Aylesbury Vale.

Covid-linked deaths are recorded by the government when someone passes away within 28 days of returning a positive test.

Beyond the stable case numbers for the region, a further 663 and 709 first and second dose vaccinations were confirmed in Aylesbury Vale respectively. Overall, 75.7% of adults in the region have been given a first dose, 56.1% of over 18s in Aylesbury Vale are fully vaccinated.

Nationally a further 7,673 cases of Covid were confirmed in the UK in the past 24 hours and 10 virus-linked fatalities were confirmed.

Overall figures for the UK show 79.4% of adults have received the first dose of a vaccine protecting against the virus and 57.4% of over 18s have been jabbed twice.
