Another Covid-linked death confirmed in Aylesbury Vale, as new cases more than double

One Covid-related death has been reported in Aylesbury Vale today (June 14).

It is the third Covid linked death reported in the region in the past seven days. Whilst new case numbers more than doubled in Aylesbury Vale, going from just five cases reported yesterday, to 12 new positives being confirmed today.

A Covid-linked death is recorded by the government when an individual passes away within 28 days of returning a positive Covid test. Today's death is the 343 of its kind confirmed in Aylesbury Vale since the pandemic started.

A further 525 first dose vaccinations and 181 second dose jabs were recorded in the region.

In the UK 7,742 new cases of Covid were reported in the past 24 hours, three deaths were recorded including the one announced in Aylesbury Vale.

A further 147,228 and 181,121 first and second dose vaccinations respectively, were confirmed in the past 24 hours.
