Fangs for having us: Bucks students go bump in the night at COAM's Halloween Spectacular
"This was our fourth year at the Halloween Spectacular and the students absolutely loved it”
Visitors spotting a ghoul, a ghost or a very convincing zombie at Chiltern Open Air Museum (COAM) on Friday 30 October may well have come face to face with a Bucks New University student.

Acting and Musical Theatre students from Bucks New University's Creative Industries courses haunted the museum's Halloween Spectacular, staying in character as they crept around the historic buildings. Our make-up students also set up their face-painting station, transforming little monsters (and big ones) before they headed off into the dark.
It was the fourth year Bucks had supported the event, and the students were, quite frankly, dying to get started.

This year's Spectacular had a circus theme, with visitors enjoying a ringmaster's fire performance, jugglers, live music, spine-tingling storytelling, trick or treating in the cottages, creepy crafts and a Funhouse for the brave.
There was also a bonfire for toasting marshmallows and a spooky woodland walk, with a gentler, not-so-spooky route for younger visitors.
Dr Catriona Craig, course leader for BA (Hons) Acting for Stage and Screen at Bucks, said: "This was our fourth year at the Halloween Spectacular and the students absolutely loved it. They got to play to a live audience, try out their character work and make-up skills in a real setting and scare a few people along the way. We absolutely loved seeing what they came up with this year."
