VIDEO: Moles too strong for Rangers in FA Cup
The game against the Evo Stik Southern Division One side was played in front of Risborough’s largest ever crowd, but, despite the support, Rangers came away second best.
The first half was pretty even but Aylesbury took the lead on 22 minutes when Brian Haule swivelled in the penalty area and placed a right-foot shot beyond the home goalkeeper.
The visitors held onto that lead until half-time and their superior fitness and quality shone through in the second half, highlighted by their second goal on 52 minutes when some slick interplay between Jamie Rudd, Gareth Price and Brian Haule finished with Rudd flicking the ball home.
It wasn’t long until FC had their third when Price was upended in the box and Haule duly tucked away the penalty to took Aylesbury’s place in the first qualifying round when they will travel to Chesham United on September 12.
As for Risborough, they are in cup action again this weekend when they visit Irchester United on Sunday in the FA Vase. There will be a supporters coach running to this game. Visit www.risboroughrangers.com for more information.
