The highest number since January included a record 35 juniors, many running with their parents.

As usual the field consisted of a complete range of abilities, with finish times ranging from 18 minutes through to 55 minutes.

The parkrun now has a PB bell which runners get to ring if they think they have beaten their best time. This week 41 runners got PBs and had the chance to ring the bell.

Jenny Skinner continued an impressive sequence of eight PBs in a row, although by just one second. Well done to the regulars who made improvements of over a minute, including Michael Wootton, Freddie Bailey, Angela Hollands and Sian Lane.

Congratulations to Daniel Evans for reaching his junior 10th t-shirt winning parkrun and also to Finn Bell and Lynda Hembury who set new age category records.

At the front of the field it was close between James Davis of Vale of Aylesbury AC who was the fastest finisher in 17:53 and Jordan Clay of Leighton Buzzard AC, who was second over the line in 18:12.

Ammon Piepgrass, one of a group of runners visiting from Harpenden Arrows Running Club, was third over the line.

For the ladies, junior Hatty Bell of Wycombe Phoenix Harriers was first lady in 22:16 with Lynda Hembury of Tring RC and Elodie Lawley second and third.
