But no-one is claiming responsibility for the hole, which appears to be more than two metres deep.
Emma, who works at Stoke Mandeville Combined School, said: “We’ve lived in the house for eight years and had no problems.
“But in November time I started to notice that there was a little bit of a dip in the grass.

“Someone could fall down it. Over Christmas we had the cars parked on there so they could have gone in.
“We can’t even tell the depth of it, it’s a mystery.”
Emma and Kevin have enlisted the help of their local councillor, Marcus Rogers, in a bid to get the problem sorted. But in the meantime they are using two traffic cones and a piece of wood to make the hole safe.
Mr Rogers said: “I am appalled that this family have been treated so badly by the district and county councils.
“It’s time they stopped pointing the finger at each other and took some action.”
