It happened shortly before 6.30pm yesterday on the A421 Tingewick Road when a light blue Ford Fusion crashed with a grey Vauxhall Astra.

The 53-year-old woman had already escaped from the wreckage but the man, aged 64, had to be cut free by firefighters.

They were both rushed to Milton Keynes Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

The road was closed from the Radclive Road roundabout for several hours but it has now reopened.

Investigating officer, PC Ian Stevens, said: “I would ask anyone who witnessed this collision or saw either vehicle being driven prior to it, to come forward and call 101 quoting reference URN 1109 (20/1).”
