A local institution, based in the heart of Princes Risborough has opened its doors for alfresco dining following Government restrictions easing. Barak, and his wife Anna have taken over The George and Dragon to breathe some life back into the pub, which has been closed since May 2019.

Today government restrictions have eased, meaning that pubs and other hospitality venues are able to open for outdoor service, with no requirement for a substantial meal to be served alongside alcohol.

Barak, the new business owner of The George and Dragon, said “I couldn’t be happier to be opening for alfresco dining today. We’ll be serving up locally-sourced British pub food with a modern twist. We’re looking forward to bringing a buzz back to the high street and some nightlife to Princes Risborough.”

Barak is a co-founder of the successful duo of North London Italian Restaurants, ‘Morso’. Barak and his family have lived in Princes Risborough for five years. Having noticed the abandoned pub in town, he decided it was the perfect business opportunity and just what the community needed to have back in action.

The George and Dragon pub is now open for outdoor bookings and takeaway via their website:
