Murder probe launched after body found at traveller site

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man at a traveller site in Nash.

The body, believed to be that of Adam Fanelli, 31, from Dunstable was found at Nash Park yesterday morning.

Detectives from the Major Crime Unit are following a number of enquiries to establish the circumstances of the death.

A Home Office post mortem examination is ongoing, and the victim has not yet been formally identified.

Mr Fanelli’s next of kin have been informed.

Senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Simon Steel, said: “A team of detectives are carrying out a number of enquiries in relation to this murder investigation and we are working to locate the offender or offenders.

“A dedicated incident room has been set up as part of this investigation.

“I would like to continue to appeal to anyone who has any information which may assist with our enquiries to please call 101 to speak to an officer.

“Officers from the local Neighbourhood Team will continue to patrol locally to provide reassurance and if anyone has any concerns, please feel free to approach an officer.”
