Man who died on A41 is named

A man who died after being hit by a lorry on the A41 has been named.

Ewen Pritchett, 30, of Crossfields Close, Berkhamsted, died from multiple traumatic injuries after the incident on the bypass’ southbound carriageway at around 2pm on Tuesday, July 21.

Emergency services attended the scene but Mr Pritchett could not be saved after he was hit by a Mitsubishi Canter transporter between the Tring and Berkhamsted junctions.

A file has been prepared for the coroner and an inquest date will be set in due course.
