The work centres around an ecological survey in the area, while overhanging trees in the area will also be removed.

HS2 said: "From MONDAY 17TH MAY the ecological surveys will continue between the Bugle Horn pub and Coldharbour roundabout in Stone whilst overhanging trees are removed.

"This will involve intermittent lane closures between 9am and 3.30pm with traffic being held for a maximum of two minutes whilst tree branches are felled and removed from the road.

"Please allow extra time in your journeys for any delays."
