The event was held to support Macmillan Cancer, after group member Graeme Foster lost his wife, Louisa, to the disease two years ago.

They started with two rounds at Chartridge Park Golf Club before one round at The Oxfordshire Golf Club and finally at Magnolia Park Golf Club.

Mr Foster said he came within a whisker of a hole-in-one off the first tee – the closest he has ever been to one.

He said: “Someone was looking down on me perhaps. It was quite an emotional day but it went very well.

“Special thanks to Eric Roca, director of Chartridge Park Golf Club for his kind support and use of his course and Mahabharat Indian Cuisine in Winslow, who paid for the golf shirts.”

The shirts were sponsored by: Acco Brands, CNF Precision Engineering, Claire Lloyd Properties, Ignite Gas and Plumbing Solutions, Pretty Nails, Express Tanning and Beauty, Franklin’s Dairy, Ceravision and HuelTM.
