Fanzine Ben's tipping local band for the top

The editor of the Aylesbury Sound and Vision fanzine has tipped local band Raving Wild for the great things.

The band recently released their latest EP Kolmanskop, and Ben Lynch, writing for the Bucks Herald could not praise it enough.

He said: “It is a rare thing for an artist to be able to write and perform without it ever seeming like a lyric or a note is misplaced. The likes of Laura Marling and Alex Turner are contemporaries who are often attributed such a skill, though it is a talent which evades almost all but the most meticulous. Local singer-songwriter Graham Iddon, known more professionally as Raving Wild, however easily falls into such a category. Having recently become a four-piece, his latest release, Kolmanskop, which came out towards the end of last month, is his most accomplished piece to date, and is indeed essential listening for all those living locally.”

He added: “Raving Wild are Aylesbury Sound & Vision’s Band of the Month, and will feature as such, alongside a review of Kolmanskop, in the next issue, out Saturday 30th April.

“You can also catch Raving Wild performing this Saturday at Aylesbury Alternative Society’s acoustic show at Basement 13 alongside Honour Amongst Thieves and JP and Betty.”
