Autism on agenda at second event
The event will be aimed at young adults with autism, and their parents and carers, bringing together 40 services from across the county to provide support and guidance.
Services attending include Buckinghamshire Care, FACT Bucks, Bucks New University, Connexions and Berkeley Homes.
Over 150 people are expected to attend.
They will have the opportunity to listen to inspirational speakers, who will relate their own experiences of living with autism and encourage those challenged by the condition to access the available services.
A new online resource, www.autismbucks.org will also be launched at the event.
Adrian Timmon, joint commissioning manager at Bucks County Council, said: “We are delighted to be hosting the Autism Conference with Carers Bucks for a second year.
“We look forward to welcoming all those attending the event this year, and to bringing together so many fantastic services from around Bucks which can offer a huge amount of help and support to young adults with autism.
“We are also excited to be announcing the launch of the new website.”
The event starts at 9.30am.
