Arrest over crash which killed young rugby player

A 27-year-old man from Aylesbury has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The arrest relates to the crash on the A413 last week which killed Thomas Fremantle School pupil Jeremy Tombs, 13.

On Sunday 4 October at around 3.30pm, a car travelling southbound, collided with a car travelling northbound on the road between Weedon and Aylesbury.

The driver of the blue Vauxhall Corsa, a woman thought to be Jeremy’s mother, was seriously injured. Jeremy, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, a grey VW Golf has been arrested.
