Something massive is coming to Whipsnade Zoo this summer, as the country's largest zoo will become home to the most colossal creatures ever to walk the earth - dinosaurs!

For just six weeks (Saturday July 23 - Sunday September 4), summer visitors to the zoo will be transported to Zoorassic Park, a prehistoric world where they will come face to face with life-size, moving dinosaurs from an immense but gentle Brachiosaurus to the formidable presence of a towering Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Included in zoo entry, visitors will step back in time to the sights and sounds of the Mesozoic era, where they will encounter lesser-known creatures like the gargantuan, winged Quetzalcoatlus, as well as sport dino-fan favourites like the Triceratops, proudly guarding its nest.

Families will be able to meet the zoo’s ‘dinosaur keepers’ and learn all abut the fascinating creatures that lived 65 million years ago, as well as the important work the zoo’s scientists are doing to help prevent today’s animals from becoming extinct.

With fossil digging activities, daily shows in which visitors can discover ‘How to train your Dinosaur’ and a fun trail for kids to complete, there will be something for everyone to take part in, and little ones can even turn themselves into a favourite dinosaur at the face painting stand. Serious dino-enthusiasts can even take their day to another level by sleeping over near the mega beasts to experience the sights and sounds of the zoo at night. The Snorassic Park experience will be available on selected dates in August.
