There has been one new confirmed case of coronavirus in Aylesbury Vale, the total is now 801, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There has been one new case in Buckinghamshire, there are now 1,760 cases in the county.

The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.

There have been 306,293 lab-confirmed cases in the UK, rising by 670.

The number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths has been recorded as 46,299, rising by 89 (deaths of people who have had a positive test result) - according to Public Health England.

The number of deaths are people who have had a positive test result confirmed by a Public Health or NHS laboratory.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from COVID-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Sunday, August 2, and 5pm on Monday, August 3.
