We know very little about the breakdown within our county as this information is not being released.

We do believe, as previously reported, that a man in Aylesbury contracted the disease in Northern Italy about a month ago and was self-isolating.

We also know that a number of people tested positive at Stoke Mandeville hospital.

The much anticipated local elections for our new Unitary Council have been cancelled until 2021 but we do not yet know how the governance of this new council will look in the protracted interim period. We are expecting a statement on this from the council this week.

Although our Prime Minister has chosen to keep schools open, making us the only country in Europe other than Belarus to do so, last night we reported that The Mandeville School is beginning a partial closure this morning. That story is here.

We are also running a live blog where you can keep up to date with how the coronavirus crisis is effecting local events and businesses. You can find that here.

As ever, we will keep you updated throughout the day.

To minimise your risk of catching coronavirus the NHS advises the following:

- wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds

- always wash your hands when you get home or into work

- use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available

- cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze

- put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards

- try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

- do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
