It is hoped that the new store will appeal to shoppers looking to purchase office supplies, materials for school, and homeworking. Customers will also find arts and crafts products at the store. Signage also shows that the store has the capacity to complete photographs for identification cards and passports.

Stamp is part of the UOE umbrella, a company which runs stores across the London area and further afield with sites in Oxford and Milton Keynes among others.

A spokesperson for the company said that the much-loved retail team that worked at Glynswood have been ‘preserved’. But the independent business has ‘modernised’ the store’s interiors.

They also revealed that the upstairs of the shop is being renovated and within a year it is hoped that the area can be used for community events.
