57,347 have died with COVID-19 on the death certificate, according to government statistics on https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/The government explains this by saying:

"Total number of deaths of people whose death certificate mentioned COVID-19 as one of the causes, registered up to Friday, 25 September 2020.

"Provisional counts of the number of deaths registered in the UK where COVID-19 is mentioned as a cause on the death certificate. The deceased may not have had a confirmed positive test for COVID-19. People who had had COVID-19 but did not have it mentioned on their death certificate as a cause of death are excluded."

13,972 tested positive on Monday October 12.
