The company says it plans to re-open the pub later this year.

A Greene King spokesperson said: “Our plan is to refurbish the Dairy Maid and reopen it for the community later this year.

"A significant investment is required at the pub following damage caused by a burst water pipe during the recent cold weather in February, which is why there has recently been some initial work carried out at the pub.

"We are hoping to fully refurbish the pub and look forward to welcoming people back through the doors as soon as possible.

"We are currently recruiting for a new operator to take over the running of the Dairy Maid and anyone interested can call 01284 843200 or visit the website.”
