Bisham Concert Band play big band screen hits in Princes Risborough on Saturday

Following a sell out Christmas Cracker concert in December, the Bisham Concert Band is once again springing into action again on Saturday evening with a family friendly repertoire of great music from stage, screen and light classics, played in the usual Big Band style, for which the band is justly renowned.

Under distinguished musical director Michael Pegram the audience at The Spring Concert in Princes Risborough will be treated to the sound of Eric Clapton On Stage, a selection from musical Chicago plus tunes from well known movie blockbusters including Titanic, Red October and Raiders of the Lost Arc.

The band tours extensively in the UK and abroad and has gained an enviable reputation for the quality of play.

In May the band will perform in Germany and members recently played at the Menin Gate War Memorial in Ypres, Belgium before an audience of several hundreds.

Other music on the programme on Saturday night includes stirring marches, Army of the Nile, A Nightingale in Berkeley Square and Do You Know the Way To San Jose.

The Spring Concert takes place in the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of St Mary’s Church, which is centrally heated and has a kitchen and cloakroom facilities.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10 including light refreshments.

They can be bought from 07946 589508.
