Pigs, pumpkins and hocus-pocus! Miniature pigs steal the show at Bucks farm’s biggest Halloween yet

Families are being invited to swap things that go bump in the night for things that go oink, as Kew Little Pigs Farm prepares for its biggest and best Halloween celebration yet.

The multi-award-winning attraction in Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire, is going all out for its Halloween Extravaganza, with pumpkin picking, a trail packed with treats and some particularly adorable hosts.

Taking place on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, the special family sessions combine two hours of seasonal fun with the chance to get up close to the farm’s miniature pigs.

Young witches, little vampires and their grown-ups can step inside the petting pens to brush and groom the pigs, meet the goats and enjoy a farm introduction and tour.

There will also be a Halloween trail with goodies waiting at the end and the chance to win a pig adoption.

Budding artists can put their pumpkin-decorating skills to the test, with another opportunity to win a pig adoption, while music and picture opportunities will help get everyone into the Halloween spirit.

Fancy dress is encouraged, so visitors can give their spookiest outfits an outing alongside the farm’s four-legged residents.

Owner Olivia Mikhail said: “We’re pulling out all the stops to make this our biggest and best Halloween yet. Think pumpkins, costumes, treats and a whole lot of piggy personality!

“There is something very special about watching families meet the pigs. They are such intelligent, curious animals, and getting to spend time brushing them and learning about their individual characters is a lovely experience.

“We want everyone to come along, get stuck into the activities and make some brilliant memories together. Bring your best fancy dress, your pumpkin-decorating ideas and your camera, because the pigs are very good at stealing the show.”

The farm’s hands-on experiences give visitors the opportunity to spend time with miniature pigs and discover more about the animals behind the snouts.

For Halloween, those encounters will come with an extra helping of seasonal excitement, with hot food and drinks available to buy during the celebrations.

Family sessions begin at 10am and noon on both days. Tickets cost £30 per adult and £20 per child, with children under three admitted free.
