Held at St Mary’s Church in Wendover over the late May Bank Holiday weekend, the much-loved festival has become a firm fixture in the local cultural calendar, attracting visitors from across Bucks, Herts and beyond. This year promises another vibrant showcase of artistic talent, with everything from paintings, ceramics and photography to jewellery, textiles, glasswork, woodcraft and handmade gifts on display.

Organisers say the festival is about far more than simply viewing art - it is about celebrating creativity, supporting local artists and creating a welcoming community atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

Visitors can browse and purchase original artwork directly from exhibitors and meet the artists behind the work throughout the weekend. Alongside the exhibition itself, guests can also relax in the festival café, which will be serving a range of refreshments including traditional cream teas for £4 and hearty ploughman’s lunches or gala pie meals for £8.50.

The festival has built a reputation for its warm and inclusive atmosphere, with accessibility and community at the heart of the event. Ample parking is available nearby, and groups are encouraged to attend together, with organisers happy to discuss refreshments arrangements for larger bookings in advance.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “The Wendover Arts Festival is a wonderful celebration of local creativity and community spirit. Whether you are a serious art collector, looking for a unique handmade gift, or simply wanting an enjoyable day out over the Bank Holiday weekend, there really is something for everyone.”

Entry to the festival is just £2, which includes a catalogue. Organisers are expecting another busy year as residents and visitors alike flock to Wendover to experience the creativity and talent on display.
