You can win family tickets to see hit musical Annie!

ANNIE, the family favourite musical, is coming to Aylesbury next month and the Bucks Herald has teamed up with the Waterside Theatre to give you the chance to win a family ticket to this heartwarming classic.

If you want a slice of feelgood theatre, they don’t come much better than this rags-to-riches musical, which charts Annie’s fun-filled quest to track down her real parents.

But of course she has to foil the dastardly plans of Miss Hannigan and her evil brother Rooster, too.

Reprising her role as the treacherous Miss Hannigan, say Hi-De-Hi to Su Pollard.

“I strive to give the best performance because people always remember you for the last thing you have done. This is a musical for every age,” said Su.

“Miss Hannigan is a bit wicked. I try to make her a bit sympathetic and inject her character with a bit of song.

“When I have to be mean as Miss Hannigan those kids have to be scared of her so I have to show my mettle.”

David McAlister – famed for his work on everything from EastEnders to Brideshead Revisited, returns as the warm-hearted zillionaire businessman, Oliver Warbucks.

Don’t we all wish we knew one of those?

Annie’s adventures take her from a New York orphanage to the luxurious abode of Oliver Warbucks in the story that has been certified classic by the millions of people who have enjoyed the story all over the world for decades.

The show features a number of instantly recognisable hits, including NYC, It’s A Hard Knock Life and Tomorrow.
