First there is a rather grand dinner dance, followed by a completely different club night with House music.

The annual Pitstone and Ivinghoe Summer Festival weekend is held in a massive marquee on Pitstone recreation ground.

From 7pm - 1am on Friday June 23 Posh Frocks and Sharp Suits is the main event beginning with a cocktail party with drinks prepared by the resident cocktail mixologist who will whip up some fabulous liquid refreshment and there will also be a full bar.

The following night the tempo changes and from 7.30pm - 1am Saturday June 24 there will be a club night with dance floor classics played by Ibiza DJ Housemouse.

What can people expect from this particular evening? Well, it’s a nightclub in a tent on a lawn in a village in June, with some really funky, upbeat House music and an awesome sound system that will deliver crystal clear melodies and punchy bass.

House music has its origins in the warehouse parties held in Chicago in the Eighties. The music from these parties came over to Europe and in the early Nineties became fused with more mainstream pop and dance music culture, and no more so than on the beautiful party island of Ibiza where the Balearic sound emerged.

Today that sound is everywhere, and some of the best of the last 25 years will be played at the event.

There is no dress code, anything goes, super cool, super sexy, or casual chic, no one will judge.

The club night is open to 18+ only. Tickets cost £15, from www.ivinghoeentertainments.org.uk. Tickets for this Saturday night event are also available on the door on the night subject to availability.
