London’s Calling: Festive wonderland of attractions for all ages

The festive village is brimming with attractions, entertainment, food and drink, for all ages to enjoy.

Open now until January 1 (closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day) entry to the park is free and it is open from 10am until late.

Visitors can start the day with a trip around the park in horse drawn carriages while deciding which attractions to visit.

Close to the top of the long list must surely be the stunning ice skating rink, the spectacular Ferris Wheel and the House of Fairy Tales in the Kid’s Quarter.

For those wanting a respite from the chilly weather, the Dutch spiegeltent offers a great range of entertainment, covering everything from a traditional Christmas pantomime to comedy, cabaret and live gigs.

The one hour pantomime, Robin Hood, will be full of typical slapstick, live music and comedy, from the much-loved cast of characters, including Friar Tuck, Maid Marian and Robin Hood himself.

The show is recommended for children aged four and over and tickets cost £10 for adults, £8 for children.

Those looking for something more lively can head towards the indoor roller disco, where the East End’s finest DJs are providing the soundtrack. With plenty of traditional Christmas fayre on the menu in the food market, and a great selection of drinks in the themed pubs, this is definitely the place to be until the New Year.
