The TringRugby U11 B team were triumphant in the Bowl competition at the County Festival on a very wet and windy Sunday afternoon in Harpenden.
The Tring young guns beat Chess Valley, Harpenden and Old Albanians in the earlier rounds, before triumphing 3-0 over Watford in the final of the competition.
Tring went throughout the tournament without conceding a try and won their matches by a combination of great teamwork, excellent passing moves, and the ability to win the ball at the breakdown.
The team was led superbly by Sam Kearney, and the squad of George Corfield, Eddie Cunningham, Oliver Tudor, Kieran Rogers, Henry Bawn, Ben Blumson, Jake Barker, Will Spencer, Charlie Montero, Darcy Miller and Thomas O’Reilly put in some stirring performances that had parents and coaches cheering throughout.
The players received their trophy and medals from Saracens player James Johnston, and the team can now look forward to the summer tournaments with confidence as they aim to win more silverware.
