Red Bull close the gap to Ferrari in Hungary

Red Bull Racing have moved to within a point of Ferrari in the constructor's championship after Daniel Ricciardo finished on the podium at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Australian had another drama-free race around the Hungaroring to finish third - this third consecutive top three finish in Budapest. He held off a late charge from Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel to take third place.

Lewis Hamilton won the race, holding off Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg to take over the championship lead.

Max Verstappen finished fifth ahead of Kimi Raikkonen after a dramatic battle.

The Dutchman was defending for the final 15 laps from the 2007 world champion, and even survived a punt in the back when Raikkonen collided with the Red Bull in a bid to pass at Turn 2.

Ferrari have 224 points in the team standings, with Red Bull just a point back on 223. Mercedes are comfortably in the lead.
