Aylesbury professional boxer Nathan Graham was pleased with his performance after beating Telford’s Kieron Gray.
Graham took to the ring in Leicester and enjoyed a good workout as he dominated the six three-minute rounds to claim a 60-55 victory on referee Kevin Parker’s scorecard.
It was an impressive performance from the light middleweight, who showcased his terrific range of shots and never let the experienced Gray settle into a rhythm with a series of uppercuts through the Telford man’s tight defence.
The victory takes Graham’s overall record to 16 wins, two defeats and one draw.
He said after the fight: “I was content with my performance. Gray did make me work for the win so credit where credit’s due as he is a more experienced fighter than me, but I am humbled by the victory.
“I would like to thank all the supporters who travelled to the venue – having that level of support a good distance from home is really appreciated.
“I’d also like to thank my dad Michael, who dedicates a large portion of time training me and also Pegasus Gym who let me train at their Aylesbury facility.
“Next year will be a big year for me and all the Pegasus fighters. We will be bringing plenty of titles home in the new year.”
Graham also added that he is hoping to confirm his next fight for either January or February.
