Over 50 runners from Bearbrook Running Club took on the Aylesbury Ring, a 34-mile route around the beautiful countryside surrounding the town, in aid of this year’s club charity, the Chiltern Air Ambulance.

The route was split into six sections ranging in distance from six and a half miles to four miles.

While some runners ran just a single section, there were others who completed two, three or four sections and a group of nine – Kelvin and Lisa Ripley, Graham Sanders, Lucy Mayer, Lisa Jay, Gary Sparkes, Peter Mason, Charles Walczak and Linda Huxley – who finished all 34 miles.

Once all of the runners had completed the last section from Waddesdon to Dinton, family and friends joined them for a well earned drink and a barbecue at Dinton Cricket Club, which included a bouncy castle and lots of other activities for the children. The total raised was a magnificent £609.47, which takes the amount raised so far by the club this year to over £2,500.
