A group of 115 runners were at Tring parkrun this week for a Saturday morning outing in the pleasant sunshine.

At the front of the field, Liam Dawson of Bearbrook Running Club was the first runner home in 21:27, followed by local regulars Grant Whitaker and Greg Dell.

Before the run, Dom Evans was presented with the monthly Sweatshop Tring parkrunner of the month award, having been one of the main volunteers and the first of the regulars to reach his 100th parkrun.

For the ladies, it was a young first three, with Sophie Evans of Tring RC being the first lady home, followed by Elodie Lawley and Olivia Burney.

A total of 40 runners recorded PBs this week, with the biggest improvements coming from Harry Bryant (57s), Chris Butler (54s) and Candy Maguire (53s).

Congratulations also go to Laura Travers and Liz Daniel who have recorded PBs for three weeks in a row.

For the junior females, Olivia was first home with a new PB ahead of Freya Maguire and Flora Yarrow.

Fastest junior male was Patrick Scahill with a new PB, followed home by Sam Burnell and Dylan Cowan.
