Rangers hit five to cruise into county cup final

Risborough Rangers eased into the final of the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup after an emphatic 5-1 home win against Thames Valley League Premier Division side Cookham Dean.

It remained 3-0 until half-time and the second half continued in similar vein with Risborough pushing for a further goals.

Chris Davies made the pressure count and slotted home after neat footwork 10 minutes after the restart before Danny Gray claimed his second of the match with a dynamic run that culminated in a tap in from close range on the hour.

Cookham scored a consolation and could have doubled their tally ten minutes from time but were denied when Rangers’ outstanding goalkeeper Jack Brooker saved a penalty.
