Phillips aims to ‘embrace local talent’ after taking over at Tring Corinthians

Phillips returns to the club after four successful years as reserve team manager at Tring Athletic and is hoping to bring fresh impetus to the Corinthians, with a focus on nurturing quality local players.

Phillips will be assisted by Kerry Gordon and James Cotterill, with stalwart Lee Groves stepping into a role as player/coach.

The coaching team is also boosted by Gareth Jackson and Steve Punshon who will work on a structured programme for pre-season.

Phillips said: “I had a fantastic time at Athletic but am now really excited to be taking on this challenge at Corries. I want to develop a culture that embraces local talent and realises the club’s potential.”
