Tring Athletic FC have moved quickly to appoint Richard Smith and Chris Juraszek as joint reserve team managers following Colin Phillips’ decision to stand down after four successful years in the role.

Smith and Juraszek have worked successfully together in the past and the former has a wide range of skills and experience, including team management.

He holds coaching and first aid qualifications and has successfully run an FA Standard Chartered Sunday team – carrying out the roles of manager, secretary and treasurer.

In addition, Smith has a strong administration background and is currently the fixture and registration secretary for the North Home Counties Sunday Football League.

A club spokesman said: “We would like to express our thanks to Colin for his past efforts in building up the current reserve team and we look forward to Richard and Chris continuing this development.”

The ambitious club is still looking to add further to its management team and there are vacancies for a goalkeeping coach and a sports therapist.

Anybody interested in either of the roles should send their CV via email to [email protected] for the attention of chairman Mick Eldridge.
