Last game together for Aylesbury Vale Dynamos Under 16s
Youth round-up by Iain Willcocks
Aylesbury Vale Dynamos youth season is drawing to a close, but there was still plenty of action at the weekend, writes Iain Willcocks.
U17s were unlucky at the weekend losing out 4-3 to Haddenham. After looking comfortable and leading, the final five minutes saw Haddenham score twice to secure an unlikely victory.
The U16s Dynamos said farewell to Sunday football as a team as they finished their final match for the club with a disappointing 5-1 loss to Slough Town.
However the team, managed by Kieron Bowman, has consistently been in the top division in their league and some of the players will now look to join the U18’s Floodlit team, who will play on Wednesday nights next season.
U13s Dynamos secured another victory as they defeated Gerrards Cross 6-3 at home which leaves Dynamos top of the table.
The U13s Youth lost 3-2 away at Marlow Royals in a close match which could have gone either way.
The U11s Dynamos finished their season with a 3-2 win, Charlie C, Theo and a cracking strike from Thomas sealing the victory.
The U11s Youth also won their final game of the season with a 6-1 home win against Risborough Rangers.
The U10s teams travelled to Marlow and on a hard pitch with long grass, Stefan’s team managed a win and a draw. Graham’s team won 1 and lost the other.
Finally the U7s had a match with Tring Tornadoes, winning three and drawing the final game. Manager, Toby O’Callaghan and many of the players were sporting yellow and blue hair for their final match of the season.
They scored 19 goals in total and only conceded 6, Cristian and Maxwell both grabbing four goals each. The highlight however, was a superb penalty save from Liam.
With the season pretty much over now, we turn our attention to next season. If anyone is interested in joining the ever growing Aylesbury Vale Dynamos club, please email [email protected] for more information.
