Aylesbury United bounced back from last week’s disappointment with a hard-earned 1-0 win away at struggling Bedford Town on Saturday.
In a first half of few clear-cut chances, the hosts started strongly, causing plenty of trouble for the visiting defence, however United weathered the storm and became increasingly involved in the game before the only goal arrived on 34 minutes when Jason Blackett fired home from 18 yards following good work by Jordan Frederick.
The second half was a dour affair with both sides working hard but ultimately finding it hard to break down the opposing defence, with the Ducks holding on to secure a morale boosting win.
The result takes United up to 11th in Division One Central of the Southern League.
This weekend they host North Greenford United.
