The Aylesbury Sunday Combination’s committee’s first steps to rebuilding local Sunday football in Aylesbury took place last Sunday as some of the Chesham Sunday League sides joined the invitation Vale of Aylesbury Cup.

Holders Two Touch are through after beating AYFCs 7-2 as Kedge Jeffrey scored a hat-trick and Daniel Parsons and Shane Almond scored a brace apiece.

Aylesbury Flooring again needed two late goals to beat Bucks FC, this time winning 3-1.

Last season’s runners-up Weavers were given a test by Real Social Dads with the game locked at 4-4 after 90 minutes before the Dads ran out of steam as played the last 30 with 10 men, allowing the Warriors scored three more for a 7-4 victory.

The Chesham teams through to the last eight scored plenty of goals. Last Post FC won 10-2 over Dinamo Chequers while Magpies 91 beat Chiltern Chargers 8-2 away.

The only game which was a mix of both leagues saw Chalfont Saints make the small journey to Chearsley Cricketers and return home with a 9-1 win.

Queens Head FC versus Pioneer FC takes place this weekend with the draw to be made in January for February’s quarter-finals. The league is still looking to hear from new clubs who are interested in joining for the 2015-16 season.
