In the Aylesbury & District Football League Premier Division, leaders Walton Court came up against old foes Bucks CC in what many thought would be a tight game, however the defending champions eased to a 5-1 win to take a step closer to retaining their title. Billal Richards bagged a brace and Sajid Ashraf, Ali Khan and Kedge Jeffrey all found the net in a comfortable Wendover win.

Second-placed Aylesbury Dynamos kept the pressure on with a 10-2 demolition of Downley Albion as they remain two points behind. The division’s top scorer Chris Shennan scored four times, Taran Ashall hit a brace and Nath Brownsword, Ash Andrews, Frank Blacher and Ellis Goodin all netted one apiece.

Haddenham Utd are third and they still have games in hand over their rivals with a 4-1 win over Elmhurst keeping them in the mix. Aaron Rogers, Callum White, Richard Jewell and Andrew Lambie were on the score sheet.

At the bottom, Pond Park Rangers are all but mathematically relegated after losing 5-1 at home to Berko Sports.

In Division One, table-toppers Wendover finally suffered their first defeat of the season and it came at the hands of second-placed Aylesbury Sports, who now breathing down their necks after a 4-3 victory. Kirsten Edworthy (2), Adam Richmond and Rob Takacs sealing a potentially huge victory.

APR have games in hand as Aaron Bonham scored his third hat-trick in three games in a 5-2 away win at FC Spandits, while Longwick Sports still have an outside chance of promotion after another victory, this time 5-1 over Bedgrove Utd - Pat Callaghan (2), Jon Patel, Luke Norris and Giorgio Magnacavello all netting.

With Bedgrove losing, Oving’s 3-2 win over Wingrave has shaken things up at the bottom as they now move out of the relegation zone thanks to goals from Josh Dance, Will Lightfoot and Pat Hurst.

Long Crendon are closing in on the Division Two title following a 4-2 win over rivals Tetsworth. Jimmy Riley scored a brace for Tetsworth but goals from Joe Russell, Elliot Farley (2) and Oli Lethbridge puts Crendon to within one win of the title.

Bucks CC Reserves came from 1-0 down to win 2-1 over Tring Titans and keep in touch with the top two; Ben Floyd and Durelle Palmer on the score sheet.

It’s also tight at the bottom with FC Spandits Reserves looking doomed to the drop after losing 3-1 at home to Rivets Sports, while mid-table sides Quainton and Ludgershall shared a 1-1 draw after Jodean Horwood’s strike was cancelled out by Scott Hawkes.

In Division Three, leaders Tring Town AFC will get the points after a no show from Quainton Reserves, so it was back to the battle for the runners-up spot as Wingrave Reserves earned a much-needed 3-1 win over Rivets Sports Reserves to keep alive their hopes of of promotion, with Andy Plestes, Louis Birdsey and Leigh Temple bagging the all-important goals.

Oving Reserves have been relegated and Quainton Reserves look likely to join them, although Wendover Reserves’ 2-1 loss to Ludgershall Reserves keeps them in danger.

In Division Four, champions FC Mandeville seem to have taken their foot off the gas as they lost for the second time in a row, this time going down 2-1 to Waddesdon Reserves.

Second-placed Long Crendon Reserves have completed their season and are now waiting to see if third-placed Tetsworth Reserves can pick up three points from their final two games to steal the runners-up spot. Tetsworth are just two points behind after a 3-1 win over Great Milton this week - Bertie Corigliano, Liam Wing and an own goal sealing the points.

AC Meadowcroft beat Tring Titans Reserves 4-1 courtesy of goals from Justin Fielding, Seb Faye-Brookes, Jon Young and Josh Edworthy, while the final game saw Long Marston Reserves beat Haddenham Utd Reserves 1-0 in a bad-tempered affair that saw three red cards.
